Job Vacancy - 2x Mill Operators

We deliver outstanding feeds and services worldwide for sustainable production of healthy and delicious fish and shrimp. Locally, we supply fish feed throughout Australasia to a wide range of customers. Skretting are offering two full time fixed term positions initially until the end of January 2017 at our Cambridge Operations 20km from the CBD of Hobart.

 MILL OPERATORS

 As a member of a small team you will be responsible for the operation of mill and packing machinery, product batching and blending, product quality checks and records. Responsibilities include carrying out preventive maintenance when required and ensuring that a high level of WH&S, environment and housekeeping standards are maintained.

These are rotating 12 hour 4 on 4 off shift positions working 2 days & 2 nights and are ideally suited to highly motivated ambitious individuals who have the drive to succeed. You possess good people skills and are team oriented and can work with limited supervision in a manufacturing environment.

As a Skretting employee you will have access to a fulfilling job. There is the expectation that you will participate in competency based training provided. A  Certificate 111 traineeship or a trade qualification is essential.

To be considered for these positions you will possess the following requirements:

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of computer controlled machinery
  • Be a team player
  • Strong level of literacy
  • Car class driver’s licence
  • Licence to Perform High Risk Work (Fork Lift)
