Skretting USA is now HACCP certified

Skretting USA takes feed safety and quality very seriously.  As part of our strategy to ensure that your feed is of top quality, we have implemented a HACCP plan to monitor and control feed safety.  As a HACCP certified feed mill, we go to great lengths to ensure that our feed is safe for your fish.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a method of preventive planning for controlling feed safety hazards.  It involves in-depth hazard analyses of all plant processes (receiving raw materials, storage of ingredients and finished products, production of feed, etc.) to identify points where possible feed safety hazards could exist.  After identifying these points, monitoring programs are put into place to prevent these hazards from occurring and verification methods are implemented to ensure that the monitoring programs are effective.

The Skretting USA team, which consists of qualified individuals from each department in the company, meets regularly and frequently to review the HACCP plan to make sure it is functioning according to our high internal standards.  In addition to this, our HACCP certificate gets renewed every year by certified external auditors to ensure that our plan is functioning properly and meets governmental requirements.  This means that you can be sure that we do everything we can to ensure the safety and quality of your fish feed.
