The Coho salmon is one of the five pacific salmon species. Coho salmon are also known as "silver salmon" or "silvers".
Coho are anadromous, which means the salmon migrates from salt water to fresh water to spawn. Coho spend one to two years in their natal streams before smoltification. Smolts migrate to the ocean from March through July. After living for three years in the salt water the salmon returns to the rivers to spawn.
Skretting nutritional solutions are designed for different life phases in Coho farming: Fry, Smolt, Adult and Broodstock.
