Nutreco invests in ViAqua to combat disease in the shrimp market
05.07.2018 Nutreco has invested in Israeli startup ViAqua as part of its focus on combatting disease in the aquaculture industry. This is in line with our mission of "feeding the future", the ambition to contribute to producing enough nutritious and high-quality food for a growing population in a sustainable way.

Skretting Egypt has recently launched Nutra to meet the demand of hatcheries and nurseries for high quality starter feed for tilapia fry and fingerlings. Nutra has been developed by Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) and is based on three key principles: optimizing digestible protein, digestible energy and feed technology. Nutritional requirements of tilapia fry and fingerlings change over time and Nutra is formulated to meet these requirements for each life stage. Nutra is also developed to satisfy the needed particle sizes in the hatchery and nursery phase.
Nutreco enters joint venture with West Coast Group to build production facility in India
06.06.2018 Nutreco has formed a joint venture with Mumbai-based West Coast Group to supply the growing Indian aquaculture market. The companies will also start building a feed production facility in west India to supply to aquaculture farms in the region. The plant is expected to open in the first quarter of 2020.
