Skretting's role
The latest FAO State of the World Fisheries reports and the UN Global Compact's Ocean Stewardship 2030 report state that sustainable seafood production depends on industry transparency to avoid negative environmental and social impacts. At the same time, they point out that the lack of trust between the different actors in the value chain is a major challenge to be addressed.
We are committed to contributing to our value chain and relevant stakeholders through transparency in our operations and relationships. Our two strong internal programmes, Nuterra for Sustainability and Nutrace for Quality, set the standards in sustainability and think about food quality and safety to position Skretting as a transparent and trustworthy company that cares about generating a positive environmental and social impact.
I have come to know much better the importance of aquaculture. It must be taken into account that what is being done must be done in an environmentally sustainable way. We are all in this together.
Our role: to drive sustainable growth in aquaculture
Skretting has embarked on a series of ambitious company-wide plans that will drive our aquaculture feed expansion in the coming years, as highlighted in our Sustainability Strategy to 2025. We will maintain the focus on local products, by establishing more meaningful partnerships; while also looking for new opportunities to realize the full potential of our portfolio of global products, models and services by meeting the growing demand of growing geographies. This will be achieved primarily by leveraging our in-depth knowledge of markets, products, and services.
Sustainability is an integral part of Skretting's strategy to remain the global leader in fish and shrimp feed, by delivering innovative and sustainable nutritional aquaculture solutions. This vision is based on clear ambitions with regard to people, planet and profit.
Aquaculture will help bridge the gap between sustainable fisheries and global demand, but only when it is practiced responsibly.

Our position as a global leader in aquafeeds
Innovation drives the aquaculture industry. Thanks to the R+D activities carried out by the Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre in cooperation with our technicians, Skretting continuously develops innovative products and concepts that fully meet the nutritional and health requirements of fish and prawns from the larval stage to harvest.
Aquaculture offers an increasingly attractive solution to meet food needs. Aquaculture is already the fastest-growing animal feed production sector, and the potential for further expansion is great. I am not asking you to change direction, but I am asking you to accelerate progress.
