The new service that Skretting Southern Europe offers, in collaboration with the technology start-up Go Smart, is based on the digitalisation and automation of a vital and high-value process for our Customers: The accurate and unattended estimation of average fish weight on farms, to optimize the feeding process and production management, through our AquaSim digital tool.
To this end, we have developed underwater cameras with multi-parameter sensors, connected to autonomous systems (powered by solar panels) for processing and sending information, with remote access through any web browser (Smartphone, Tablet, etc.) and cloud hosting.
The objective is to advance in Precision Farming and provide a better service to our Customers through AquaSim, allowing them to automate and optimize critical points in the management of aquaculture production, with special emphasis on the management of Precision Feeding. This will allow them to optimize their costs significantly.
Once the system is established, and with a constant source of information, applying machine learning/artificial intelligence we will detect patterns in the behavior of the fish, which will allow us to take new steps towards greater efficiency and standardization in the management of feed/production and animal health and welfare. A new step in Precision Farming.
