At Skretting Spain, we have a fully equipped diagnostic laboratory to perform necropsies, parasitological, bacteriological, microbiological and antimicrobial susceptibility test analyses.
With more than 30 years of experience, our Health Service is a benchmark in the aquaculture sector, offering advice on fish farming health at all levels.
Pathological diagnosis
Our service is focused on the diagnosis of pathologies that affect farmed fish species. We are specialists in early diagnosis techniques, which allows us to offer results on the same day of receipt of the samples in most cases. This agility facilitates the early application of therapeutic or corrective measures, minimising the health impact and guaranteeing animal welfare.
In our facilities we carry out complete necropsies, parasitological, bacteriological and microbiological analyses, identification of microbial agents and antimicrobial susceptibility tests to evaluate sensitivity to different antibiotics.
Once identified, the bacterial strains are preserved in cryopreservation vials, available exclusively to the customer for future needs, such as the development of autovaccines or advanced studies in collaboration with research centers. The strains are not shared with third parties without the express authorisation of the client. The diagnosis is carried out in our laboratory and at the client's facilities.
We also collaborate with a wide network of external laboratories for complementary tests such as histology, water analysis or virology
Medicated feed and prescription of treatments
We have an exclusive production line for medicated feed, which prevents cross-contamination and guarantees the highest priority in the manufacturing process and delivery to our customers. Our team, duly accredited, manages the prescription of treatments, always in compliance with current regulations.
Technical Consulting in Aquaculture Health
Thanks to our continuous training and extensive experience, we offer a comprehensive technical consulting service in the areas of:

Fish Health Training
At Skretting Spain we are committed to continuous training. That's why we open the doors of our laboratory to customers who want to delve deeper into animal health. We offer personalized theoretical and practical training on disease diagnosis, biosecurity, vaccination plans and treatments, health management in aquaculture species, among others.
These activities can be carried out on our premises, on the farms themselves or remotely, depending on the needs. Throughout the year we also organize technical conferences and specialized courses.
