Premium diet for shrimp larvae and post-larvae
It takes 500 degree days from fertilization to hatching. The hatched alevins are yolk sack larvae that get all their nutrition from the yolk.
After reaching a weight of about 0,2 gram, the fry starts to eat dry pellet feed, and grows quickly.
The fingerling develops dark spots in the skin (parr markings) and is still adapted to a fresh water existence.
The weight doubles about every two weeks. Major physiological changes (smoltification) starts – in order to adapt to a life in salt water.
It takes the smolt about 12–18 months to reach a final weight of 4–6 kilos. For each kilo of trout produced, only 1 kilo of feed has been used.
Research finds that the effect of Premium is even stronger on trout.
Each feed has to suit fish species, size, biology, environment and health, as well as take economy into account.
We have the tools that combine biology, farm economy and fish quality, providing options to reduce production costs and improve farm performance.
High energy feed with metabolic activators which increase the utilisation of digestible energy
