Skretting's role

The latest FAO’s State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture and the United Nations Global Compact’s Ocean Stewardship 2030 reports state that sustainable seafood production depends on industry transparency to prevent negative environmental and social impacts. At the same time, they point out that the lack of trust among the different players in the value chain is an important challenge to be addressed.

Our commitment is to contribute to our value chain and relevant stakeholders through transparency in our operations and relationships. Our two strong internal programs - Nuterra for sustainabilty and Nutrace for quality - set the standards in sustainability and feed to food quality and safety to position Skretting as a transparent and trustworthy company that cares about making a positive environmental and social impact.

Our role - driving sustainable growth in aquaculture

Skretting has embarked upon a series of ambitious, company-wide plans that will drive our aquaculture feed expansion over the next few years, as highlighted in our Sustainability strategy to 2025. We will retain focus on local products by establishing more meaningful partnerships, while also seeking further opportunities to realise the full potential of  our global products, models and services portfolio by meeting the increasing demand from growth geographies. This will be primarily achieved through leveraging our deep knowledge of markets, products and services.

Sustainability is an integral part of Skretting's strategy to remain the global leader in fish and shrimp feeds by delivering innovative and sustainable nutritional aquaculture solutions. This vision is based on clear ambitions regarding people, planet and profit.
