Skretting Australia recognised with two awards at ASC & MSC Sustainable Seafood Awards 2026

Last Friday, Skretting Australia was honoured with two awards at the ASC & MSC Sustainable Seafood Awards Australia 2026, recognising our leadership in responsible aquaculture.

We were proud to receive the ASC Making Waves Award, celebrating our early commitment to the ASC Feed Standard and our role in supporting broader industry uptake. In addition, Ryan Stallard, Communications and Sustainability Specialist, was named ASC Young Person in Aquaculture 2026, acknowledging his contribution to achieving Australia’s first ASC‑certified feed mill and his work strengthening sustainable procurement and supply‑chain practices.

These achievements reflect a true team effort across our business. For several years, we’ve been driving our Courage to Care commitments, and these awards recognise the dedication of our teams in taking ownership of their impact on people, planet, and performance. Together, we’ve been able to meet the high standards set by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council.

Adding to the occasion, Jenna Bowyer, Responsible Projects Manager, represented Skretting Australia as a panellist during the awards program, sharing insights on the evolving and changing expectations of responsible feed production and the role of certification in driving continuous improvement across the aquaculture value chain.

These recognitions reinforce our commitment to leadership, transparency, and delivering positive impact across the seafood industry. While there is more to do, we remain motivated to continue partnering across the industry to drive sustainable outcomes.

Skretting Australia has demonstrated strong early leadership in adopting ASC certification and advancing responsible aquaculture practices. Their commitment to the ASC Feed Standard, combined with a focus on transparency and innovation, has helped pave the way for broader industry uptake in Australia. We were particularly impressed by how ASC principles have been embedded across their operations and supply chains, and by their role in supporting continuous improvement across the sector.
