Keyu Jin, Economic advisor to the Chinese Government

Dr. Keyu Jin is a globally recognised economist and leading authority on China’s economy, global macroeconomics, and international finance. She is currently Professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where her resea rch and teaching focus on global financial markets, international capital flows, and China’s role in the world economy.

Originally from Beijing, China, she holds a B.A., M.A. and PhD from Harvard University. Her research focuses on international macroeconomics and the Chinese economy. Multiple academic works have been published in the top academic journals in Economics In addition to academia, she is an influential public intellectual and commentator, writing regularly for Project Syndicate and Caixin Magazine, and contributing op-eds to major international outlets including the Financial Times. She is a frequent speaker at global economic and policy forums.
