Xpand shortens the grow-out phase and provides more flexibility to either harvest earlier, or harvest more at the same time. Supporting shrimp with the right nutrition and the right conditions enables improved performance and better control of production. 

Specific nutrition and balanced pond conditions support together the faster growth of the shrimp. Dedicated research at Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre has led to our new high performance feed, Xpand.

Improved nutrition

Skretting trials have shown that the shrimp fed Xpand can process the feed faster, while eating significantly more. This results in maintained feed conversion ratio, meaning that the shrimp are converting the extra feed into growth.

Improved growth

Shrimp fed with Xpand reached a higher final weight compared to those fed with a control diet. For commercial production, better growth allows for a shorter production cycle and in turn gives more flexibility to plan a harvest.

Pond support

Physical pellet properties also contribute to a better water quality and support the pond during the production cycle.
