Hiroaki (Hiro) Ishimoto is a Department General Manager at Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Food Division, Aquaculture & Nutrition Project Division, based in Tokyo. He brings nearly a decade of experience advising on and leading projects across the aquaculture, agriculture, agri-/aqua‑technology, food service, and retail sectors.

In his current role, Hiroaki is primarily responsible for strategy development and new business creation in Mitsuis aquaculture and nutrition platform.

Mitsui has built a strong global network in the aquaculture industry, with a particular focus on salmon and shrimp, partnering with leading producers such as Santa Priscila (Ecuador) and Minh Phu (Vietnam) in shrimp, and Multi X (Chile) in salmon.

Mitsui continues to strengthen its aquaculture and seafood business by expanding partnerships and initiatives across the entire value chain, from upstream production to downstream distribution.
